Foundation to host Night of Hope and Miracles to benefit Niswonger Children’s Hospital
Ballad Health Foundation is inviting the public aboard the Miracle Express to celebrate this year’s holiday season with a special night of festive fun and generosity.
The annual Night of Hope and Miracles event will be held Friday, Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m. in Kingsport, where MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center will be transformed into a railway car bound for the North Pole.
“I cannot think of a better way for families across the Appalachian Highlands region to come out and enjoy the spirit of the holiday season than by attending our second annual Night of Hope and Miracles,” said Jack Simpson, president of Ballad Health Foundation.
“Staying true to its namesake, this event provides hope and miracles for sick and injured children through the support generated by those who attend. It’s truly a great way for families to both celebrate the holidays and give back to their community.”
Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy music from the 17-piece Tri-Cities Jazz Orchestra, while visiting tasting stations that feature seasonal drink specials from local breweries. Guests will be served a buffet of salads, shrimp cocktail, strip loin of beef, dill salmon, buffalo chicken sliders, mixed berry cobbler and more.
Those in attendance can also participate in a sprawling silent auction featuring golf getaways, gift baskets, high-end art and jewelry, fine wine and a three-night stay at the ski resort in Beech Mountain, North Carolina.
“I just want to give a sincere thanks to all our sponsors and especially our team members from across the Ballad Health family of hospitals and facilities. They once again rose to the occasion and contributed generously to our silent auction. This event could not be possible without their compassion and involvement,” Simpson said.
Proceeds from ticket sales, event sponsorships and auction items will directly support Niswonger Children’s Hospital, which provides babies and children from across the Appalachian Highlands region with access to lifesaving treatment, care and technology, as well as support and partnerships for healthy lives.
“This event means so much to Niswonger Children’s Hospital. The financial support generated from the Night of Hope and Miracles truly makes a difference for the children we care for. That support allows families to stay closer to home while their sick children receive the treatment they need,” said Lisa Carter, chief executive officer of Niswonger Children’s Hospital.
“By attending the Night of Hope and Miracles, attendees are doing their part to bolster and enhance healthcare for future generations.”
The Night of Hope and Miracles would not be possible without the support of local businesses. At this year’s event, Delta Dental will serve as the presenting sponsor, while Baker Donelson, First Horizon Foundation, Hancock Daniel and Pershing Yoakley & Associates are the evening’s platinum sponsors.
“This is a perfect way to honor the season of giving and help create a promising future for local children. Together, Ballad Health is building a legacy of healthcare in our community—and it starts with our children,” Simpson said.
Night of Hope and Miracles tickets are now on sale for $125 each and can be purchased by visiting www.one.bidpal.net/2019nohm/.
