Level III NICU access
If your little one needs some additional care during the first few days or weeks of life, our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is upstairs in the adjoining Niswonger Children’s Hospital.

Along with ETSU OB/GYN physicians and Niswonger Children’s, we offer a comprehensive set of services for high-risk deliveries.

Fertility services
In-vitro fertilization
Johnson City Medical Center is honored to host Quillen Fertility and Women’s Services. It is the only fertility clinic serving the Tri-Cities and northeast Tennessee region. And it’s one of the least expensive fertility service clinics in the Southeast.
The fertility clinic offers:
- Donor eggs
- Donor embryos
- In-vitro fertilization (IVF)
- Intrauterine insemination
- Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
- Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD)
Organ-sparing treatment
Fertility specialist Dr. Mark Ransom and staff also provide comprehensive organ-sparing treatment for infertility.
These services include operative laparoscopic and operative hysteroscopy, such as hysteroscopic myomectomy and resection of septums.
Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologies
The Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (SART) website posts a 50% success rate during 2010 and 2011 at the clinic for women under 35.
All staff doctors are members of SART.

Strong Starts program for families
Ballad Health’s Strong Starts program connects parents and caregivers with essential resources and services for children up to the age of five. We can connect you with childcare services, food assistance, housing insecurity resources and government assistance programs.
